Strawberry leaves vary: some are a lovely rusty red<\/p>\n Some wild Rose hips, possibly Rugosa, probably not!<\/p>\n Oak leaves appropriately enough on a Red Oak<\/p>\n One type of red leaves on a Maple<\/p>\n And a quite different type of red Maple leaves<\/p>\n These were a type of Crabapple: there are quite a few shapes and sizes in the Meadows.<\/p>\n Pink Euonymous possibly a Spindle sapling<\/p>\n and pink ‘stems’ holding the white fruit of the Grey Dogwood<\/p>\n Orange Maple leaves (I didn’t say we’d run out of Maples!)<\/p>\n Mysterious orange fruit: perhaps yet another Crabapple?<\/p>\n See, more Maples ! These ones were more yellow.<\/p>\n And more yellow Maples<\/p>\n Hmm. I guess this Goldenrod was swaying a bit too much in the wind. It’s is yellow though.<\/p>\n I call these plants ‘wild asparagus’ but to be honest I have never checked whether that is what they are. They have now turned a lovely bright yellow.<\/p>\n There was still one stem of Viper’s Bugloss in bloom. The others have turned silver.<\/p>\n This fly was a sparkling blue in real life: I don’t seem to have caught the light properly.<\/p>\n These Buckthorn berries are a deep indigo blue. And the immature White-Crowned Sparrow is about to discover they are not easy on its tummy.<\/p>\n And that’s my rainbow such as it is.
