{"id":4412,"date":"2016-02-08T12:05:41","date_gmt":"2016-02-08T17:05:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/naturalcrooks.com\/rambles\/?p=4412"},"modified":"2016-02-08T12:05:41","modified_gmt":"2016-02-08T17:05:41","slug":"winter-butterflies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/naturalcrooks.com\/rambles\/winter-butterflies\/","title":{"rendered":"Wishing for Butterflies in Winter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s been wonderful seeing all the <a href=\"http:\/\/naturalcrooks.com\/rambles\/snow-buntings-swirl-sombre-southern-ontario-sky\/\" target=\"blank\"><strong>winter birds<\/strong><\/a> recently and even some <a href=\"http:\/\/naturalcrooks.com\/rambles\/olympic-arena-dundas-woods-rusty-blackbirds-tufted-titmice-shrew\/\" target=\"blank\"><strong>small furry mammals<\/strong><\/a> but today as I walked through a few local parks my mind&#8217;s eye kept seeing all the butterflies I had seen at the same spots last summer. I know that there are butterflies and moths sleeping in cocoons and chrysalises, or over-wintering as eggs and larvae, or sunning in the south before migrating back, but I still kept wishing they were here to see today.
