It’s been wonderful seeing all the winter birds recently and even some small furry mammals but today as I walked through a few local parks my mind’s eye kept seeing all the butterflies I had seen at the same spots last summer. I know that there are butterflies and moths sleeping in cocoons and chrysalises, or over-wintering as eggs and larvae, or sunning in the south before migrating back, but I still kept wishing they were here to see today. In case anyone else is feeling wistful about butterflies, here are some June photos to remind of us of the good times ahead.
June Butterflies
I also wouldn’t mind seeing some moths, damselflies, dragonflies, Tiger beetles….I’m glad spring is coming!
